Well, I hope the Fun Police (ie YouTube) keep away from the rest of your clips.
Love the Christmas promo!

Heehee, as much as I'd like to, I'm certainly not brave enough to email them about it. Morally I think I'm in the right, but legally I don't have a leg to stand on - so I should probably stay out of trouble and let them do what they like. Tis a pain though.
I will, however, keep the clips that are on there for the time being.
It would be great if The Goodies clip shows I made were put here, I'd be most honoured. They're still on YouTube for the time being, but I imagine they won't be for much longer. Aye, I appreciate that Zaphod is very busy at the moment with the site. I'll keep a tight grip on my clip shows for the time being, and if they can go into the downloads section on this site, just say the word and I'll send them over.
I got hold of a lovely little Goodies ad which was made for UKTV. It was for Christmas, and a very merry clip it is too! It's not even 30 seconds long, but it's funny:

I would put it onto Megaupload but it's misbehaving at the moment. If anyone doesn't manage to download this before it expires then I'll put it onto Megaupload too.
Enjoy! Jess. --------------

Grr! Jess, I'd go the passive-aggressive route and leave the rest - let the Mirth Inspectors waste their precious time tracking down each individual clip. That's not neccessarily wise advice, just my advice. I don't know whether asking for an explanation would work - the answer might be 'because it's our and we don't wanna share, so there.'
Could we get the clip shows into the downloads section of this ere site? Lisa or Zaphod could tell you how that works. There's some site work in the pipeline, including a swag of new images for the gallery, but Zaphod's *really* busy right now. |

Bastards! Personally, I think you should email them for an explanation as to why you aren't allowed to put up material that isn't commercially available and cannot be seen any other way.

Hi all!
I'm here for some advice. I checked my emails a few hours ago to find I had suddenly received 94 emails! When I checked to see what was going on, all of them read, "DMCA Complaints". That means nearly all of my Goodies and 1948 Show clips have been removed from YouTube. Sigh. There's a few dozen still there, and I was wondering whether I should delete them or wait until they get taken down. Hmmm.
I'm most reluctant to remove my Goodies clip shows, those were the reason I signed up to YouTube in the first place. If anyone knows of a good home for them then please let me know!
Now we'll have to wait and see if they release some more DVDs or put The Goodies back on TV. It's mindless optimism, though. Ah well, I hope the YouTube clips whet enough people's appetites to keep The Goodies crusade motoring along.
Thanks for watching! '

' It looks like it's still just factual stuff at the moment. But the press release from 2004 said that there was potential for further development of it. I assume that means making other stuff available...

' Speaking of hard to find comedy....
I've been looking for ages for any of Danny Kay's movies... they're no where to be found. |
I don't know if this helps, but a bunch of them have been released in the US including The Court Jester, The Inspector General (a personal favorite of mine), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and others.
You can see a list of available titles at www.amazon.com. When you do a search note that his name is actually spelled Danny Kaye (with an "e" on the last name). |

' Anyway, it's a crying shame about At Last The 1948 Show. Was it ever showed in Aus? Or will I have to try and order it from the UK? Unfortunately the words "black and white entertainment" are pretty much blasphemy these days, so the DVDs shall be very hard to get ahold of either way. |
The DVDs that were released in the UK and US were also released in Australia (here's a link for the set at EzyDVD, though they're available elsewhere: http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/784306
There's a helpful review explaining what's on this set at http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/content.php?contentid=57897 |
