Hello Henri '
BritOzMan :
' It is a good review isn't it. I like how he was able to praise the series, whilst also admitting some of its (few) shortcomings. |
Quite. And this is one of the strengths of Tengy's vlogs - she's able to admit when something done then makes her uncomfortable now, but is also able to evaluate that element in the context of the time.
Many thanks - haven't seen any others (because I don't normally look at vlogs... anything over 10 minutes is a bit tricky). But I'll try to take a look when it's convenient.
Also Andrew, I wanted to take the time while I'm here to say thank you to you, for writing your Super Chaps Three book/Goodies DVD File & Goodies' Book of Criminal Recordings books. I say this because I have found them really helpful when hunting for specific items/clips online. I've also found them really helpful in regards to understanding/consolidating the entire history of The Goodies from 1940 to now. |
That's very kind of you Henri - how thoughtful! These viewing notes aren't always to everyone's tastes (and "Super Chaps Three" certainly wasn't!)... but they were a lot of fun to do. It's always nice to revisit the show, and it was great to research it... but, also, I think that's me done now with it for that kind of work. As such, it's seeing new people with new ideas saying new things about the show that very much excite me... and it's always good to come across a fresh approach or something original on the subject of this lovely little show.
Thank you again for your time and thoughtfulness.
All the best

My dear friend Kevin Davies was thoughtful enough to flag this up to me... and I felt it well worth sharing here. A rather nice summing up of the show as a whole - well assembled and well edited. Hope others find it of interest:
