The last of Tengy's rather brilliant vlogs on the series:

Have to say that these have been a real delight to start the week with, and I shall miss them.  It's just so lovely to see somebody rediscovering a series from their formative years and loving it so very, very much.

All the best

... and Tengy reaches the last episode of her BBC DVD set, finding a great deal of enjoyment with "War Babies!"

And - even better news - she's continuing with the LWT set next!

My pleasure Lisa - and hope all is well with you.

I think one of the things that I really enjoy about Tengy's reviews is that - not having any means of watching YouTube beyond the PC - that they're short.  I can't really sit and watch something at my desk for more than about 15 minutes without my arthritic joints aching... so having Tengy deliver a bottom line within 10 minutes is a perfectly treat to start the week. It's also great to see a new voice in the fan culture - and somebody who's also clearly dabbling with a new medium and finding what they can and can't do. She's also very culturally aware and making the connections to other series or films or creative works - it's not *just* the Goodies. But - most of all - you can just sense her delight at getting to simply watch all these shows that she remembers.  So, yes, a real joy.

All the best

More very enjoyable capsule reviews from Tengy. I'm finding a lot of value in these and it's really nice to get a new perspective on these programmes from somebody who's clearly thriller to rediscover the show:

Easily one of the highlights of the "Goodies" year for me - lovely little bite-sized reviews with a good sense of values and judgement and cultural awareness.  "Invasion of the Moon Creatures" is the latest one:

Would love to give positive feedback directly to Tengy... but without an e-mail or a contact that's a bit tricky.  So, if you happen to be looking in Tengy, these are really brilliant and I am enjoying them immensely.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas, and all good fortune for 2021.

All the best

Thought I'd flag up these reviews of "The Goodies" which a friend pointed out to me earlier today:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLReNn8pjUC3wszIOlhld1oOabMFO91LX-

They're lovely and brisk, good on cultural context, clear about the highs and lows of each episode (and why)... and of the ones that I've sampled so far, I find myself generally in accord with these views and rather delighted that somebody's (generally) having so much enjoyment by revisiting a show which was clearly something very dear to them earlier in their life.

All the best

Andrew
