Has anyone ever noticed Tim giggling like a loon in Top of The Form when marty has put his wig on wrong?

I was thinking about this the other day. On the interview for 1948 Show Tim talks about how they recorded the show 'live' and so weren't able to go back and re-record bits, so there was a pressure to get it right and carry on. I suppose that could explain how he's so good at not corpsing on the Goodies.

I haven't watched 1948 Show for a while now but I do love that Plain Clothes Policemen sketch. I particularly like Marty's closeup where he's mentioning his English rose complexion, then he completely cracks up and Tim asks, off camera, "Were you at all worried about your perfume?" to remind Marty that he'd completely forgotten his lines! I love how John, Marty and Graham all hide behind each other to laugh, but poor Tim, who's been deliberately set up by the others, has to stand out in the open with nowhere to hide. The meanies! It's hilarious though, makes the whole sketch so much more amusing.

Jess.

' I must not have helped poor Tim that Bill was completely unable to keep a straight face through that entire scene.

Well Tim did work with John Cleese, Graham Chapman, and Marty Feldman on At Last the 1948 Show (3 of the funniest men ever) and managed to keep a relatively straight face - well most of the time.  The undercover policmen sketch immediately springs to mind    I reckon if you can survive those guys making you laugh then your in with a chance

True That undercover policeman sketch is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Just knowing that Tim had no idea what was going on adds a whole other dimension to it.

I know -  he nearly lost it when he asked John what is name was going to be....T= Now don't tell me

Graham: Philipa sir
Tim: Philipa?
Graham: *begining to smile* Yes sir
Tim: .... That is a ncie name... that is- haha...

Heeeyy!  *thumbs up* Going off on a tangent here, but I've been looking at those 'Swap A Jest' pictures in the gallery and Tim's expression in the first one is...how shall I put it? Very Tim. And in the second one CSC (is that him?  ) looks like Bill. I thought it was Bill when I first saw it. But just ignore my ramblings...
