Posted by JG_PeckinPahs ISIHAC NEWSLETTER Dear I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue Mailing List Member
Two things to tell you about – the start of the 67th Series this coming Monday on Radio 4 and a pilot recording of a new impressions-based panel show called ‘The Imitation Game’ starring Alexander Armstrong, Rory Bremner and Debra Stephenson, which Graeme Garden and I have devised for ITV, recording on Friday 7th July….. First, the new series of ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue’, starts this Monday 26th June at 1830 on Radio 4 (with a repeat the following Sunday at 12 noon). The show transmission order is as follows: Episodes 1 and 2 - (Monday 26th June and Monday 3rd July) from the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford with Jack, Tim, Barry, Colin plus Andy Hamilton and Jo Brand. Episodes 3 and 4 - (Monday 10th and 17th July) from the Victoria Theatre in Halifax with Jack, Tim, Barry, Colin plus John Finnemore and Susan Calman. Episodes 5 and 6 - (Monday 24th and 31st July) from the New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham with Jack, Tim, Barry, Colin plus Jeremy Hardy and (making her debut on ISIHAC) the brilliant Jan Ravens. Second, Graeme Garden and I have been asked by ITV to come up with a new panel show which we’re piloting at 7.30pm on Friday 7th July at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood (just north of London). Tickets are free and we’d love you to come along if you can make it. It’s called ‘The Imitation Game’ and features some of the country’s top impressionists. It includes several Clue-like rounds and will we’re sure appeal to fans of the programme. It’s hosted by Alexander Armstrong, with Rory Bremner, Debra Stephenson, Jess Robinson (a recent finalist on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’) and Luke Kempner (from ‘Murder in Successville’, ‘The Tracey Ullman Show’ and more). To get tickets (and for details of how to get there), here’s a link to the ticket website. http://www.sroaudiences.com/default.asp?tx=1996 Finally, and annoyingly, the BBC have stopped the very helpful newsletter we used to send advertising ISIHAC recordings, so this mailout is now the only means we have of communicating advance details of our BBC recordings. If you know anyone who used to subscribe to the now defunct BBC Clue newsletter, please encourage them to transfer their allegiance to this mailing list! Have a very happy summer. I look forward before too long to telling you about more ISIHAC recordings in the autumn. With best wishes, Jon Naismith Producer, I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue |
