Last night on FoxSports 1 (a channel available in Australia to Pay TV subscribers to Foxtel, Austar and Optus) there was an ad for UKTV (a channel that has previously shown The Goodies many times) and the theme of that ad was UKTV being the "Home Of Cricket", all in a humourous way of course. It happened to feature quite a few clips from the Goodies episode "2001 And A Bit" which surprised me as I didn't think the show was going to be broadcast on UKTV again.
So anyway, I emailed them about it and they confirmed that they had no plans to renew the licence to be able to broadcast the show.
Am I wrong to think such an ad is blatantly misleading when they have no intention of showing The Goodies again and yet they are so well featured in at least one ad?
