http://www.vcdhelp.com/ is your friend!  Heaps of guides etc for the new starter...  But be warned, it can seem like a bloody nightmare starting off, especially if you're not that familiar with computers, but ultimately it's a great hobby once you learn it all.



First thing you'll need to look at is your computer hardware as you'll need a capture card of some description, either standalone or part of your current video card (the capture component often is called Video-In or VIVO),  so if you don't have either of those you will have expense immediately.



Anyway, I'll probably waffle on forever about this issue, so I guess I should email you privately!
