2. BOFFO IDEAS
**************

You can make it happen here. Liven up the club with a boffo idea for bob-a-job week. E-mail <enquiries@goodiesruleok.com> with your comments, ideas or suggestions - meanwhile these are the boffo ideas which our club has been working on this month:

WEBSITE POLLS

Last month's poll canvassed the options of which make-believe Goodies movie you'd like to star in and it looks like Bill's silent comedy won out. At least he'd have plenty of helpers when it comes to painting the whole town black and white, so it mightn't take him three whole weeks to get the preparation done after all.

At the end of "The Movies" each Goody is making a different type of film. In which film would you most like to appear?

- Graeme's western                           25 votes
- Tim's biblical epic                             8 votes
- Bill's black & white silent comedy   40 votes
- I'd prefer to do a film with Rolf       13 votes
Total                                                86 votes

This month we're looking at ideal holiday places to get away from it all … or get yourself right into the thick of the Goodies action in many cases. With boring old Bognor not even on the list, you're bound to find a Goodies holiday that appeals to your kink, er speciality! Just remember to call in at the website poll booth on your way to the airport or you'll have to cast an absentee ballot by pigeon or homing kangaroo.

Which Goodies-related location would you most like to visit for a holiday?
- August Bank Holiday Island
- Uncle King Arthur's Camelot
- The Lost Island of Munga
- Knutters Knoll Knite Spot
- to the Eurovision Raving Loony Contest
- the Jolly Rock Lighthouse
- the OK Tea Rooms
- the Dodo sanctuary
- other
- The Goodies Star Safari Park

3. SPOTTED!!!

More exciting than getting your wig-spotters badge! If you've seen the Goodies recently, e-mail <clarion@goodiesruleok.com> with the details. Here's where we've Spotted!!! the Goodies this month:

In Conversation with Tim Brooke-Taylor

Venue: Chewton Glen
Date: 05 06 2011
Time: 11:00

English comic actor, Tim Brooke-Taylor will be our guest on Sunday 5th June, when he will be interviewed about his experience and career in the spotlight, by former BBC TV presenter, reporter and journalist Chris Serle.
Sunday 5th June 2011

Tim is undoubtedly a man of many talents, born in Derbyshire he studied Economics and Law at Cambridge University and became the President of 'Footlights', the revue club in which he wrote and performed with many legendary British comedians, including Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden, John Cleese, Graham Chapman, Eric Idle and Jonathan Lynn.

He toured extensively with the revue before making his move into television when Tim became a familiar face on shows such as 'On the Braden Beat', 'Me and My Girl' and of course 'The Goodies'.

He has achieved considerable success on stage, written several books, as well as contributing to 'The Little Book' of Mornington Crescent. Since its inaugural broadcast in 1972, Tim has been a regular panellist on that British classic show 'I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue'.

We are thrilled to welcome Tim Brooke-Taylor and Chris Serle for a light hearted look-back at a fascinating career in comedy.

5. GOODIES CROSSWORD
********************
(by Brett Allender)

Here's a new Goodies crossword for fans of the superchaps three to puzzle over.

As with my previous crosswords, if you're not familiar with a number of the Goodies episodes listed, the information in my Goodies Episode Summaries (in the "Articles/Guides" section) should help you solve the clues.

There is also a copy of the grid and clues in a print-friendly format in the "Articles/Guides" section of the website at http://www.goodiesruleok.com/articles.php?id=88&page=12 along with the solution on a separate page. The solution will also be printed in next month's newsletter.
