Subject:  Re: Bill on BBC Radio 3's Essential Classics this week (plus other shows)
19/02/2014 22:51 GMT

Bill Oddie is this week's guest on BBC Radio 3's "Essential Classics". I found one webpage that has links for all 5 episodes (though Thurs & Fri won't be available until after their broadcasts). Please note that each episode is available for a week after broadcast. Here's the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/galleries/p01s8j6n

For viewers in the UK, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden,
Barry Cryer, and Jeremy Hardy's appearance on BBC One's "The One Show"
earlier today (to promote the "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" stage tour) is now
available on the BBC iPlayer at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03vkp57

* Bill Oddie is scheduled to be a guest on BBC Radio 3's "Essential Classics" all this week; the show airs daily from 9am to noon.  The first two shows (from yesterday and earlier today) are available now on the BBC iPlayer at:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03vd5mj/Essential_Classics_Monday_Rob_Cowan_with_Bil_Oddie/

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03vd6n1/Essential_Classics_Tuesday_Rob_Cowan_with_Bill_Oddie/

Here's an edited listing for the series of shows: "A selection of music, including the Essential CD of the Week...To mark the 125th anniversary of the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds), Rob's guest is the wildlife presenter, writer, musician and conservationist, Bill Oddie. Bill became famous as one of The Goodies, having previously written scripts for TV's That Was The Week That Was while a student at Cambridge. He was also a key member of the BBC radio series I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again, where many of his musical compositions were featured. Since the 1990s, he has become better known as a presenter of BBC wildlife programmes."

* According to the ISIHAC newsletter, "Tim, Graeme, Barry and Jeremy will be on ‘The One Show’ tomorrow (7.00pm, BBC1), talking to Gabby Logan and Matt Baker about the show and possibly playing the odd ISIHAC round.".  After broadcast the show will be available to UK viewers on the BBC iPlayer at http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03vkp57/The_One_Show_19_02_2014/

* Bill is scheduled to appear on the BBC Radio 4 show "Tweet of the Day" on Monday, 3rd March; this two-minute show airs from 5:58  to 6:00am and is a " Series of stories about British birds, inspired by their calls and songs. Bill Oddie presents the St Kilda wren."

* Bill's appearance on "Would I Lie to You?" is being repeated on Dave on Monday, 3rd May at 21:00, with another repeat on Tuesday, 4th March at 2:05am.
