Here's the first two episodes of SMA. I'll post the other two tomorrow (or later today actually). http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0M8SPR7I
Since the Bill thread seems to have wandered from the topic I'd just like to say that Bill looks really spiffing in his 'lord of the manor' outfit in Black and White Beauty.

PunHeaven :
' I have a couple of episodes of Beyond Our Ken and one of Round The Horne. I've also got the three episodes of KW's Stop Messin' About that BBC7 have broadcast so far. I'd be happy to email them to you or upload the lot somewhere... I'm saving up to buy the Round The Horne boxed set of cds. All I need is 180 quid... |
I know somewhere I can get a bunch of Beyond Our Ken from, all I need is a bigger hard drive. But if I could trouble you to upload Stop Messin About for me I'd love you forever!
Anyway...
I was listening to Queen's Greatest Hits the other day and when The Great Pretender came on I could've sworn it sounded just like the Last Chance Dance. I don't know if this is the result of an overdose of One Song To The Tune of Another (ISIHAC, can't get enough!) or if I'm going insane... ---------- "I cannot talk to a man who bears an undeserved animosity towards ferrets." -- Graham Chapman |

Yeah, well it's difficult to come out sane after three hours.
I think this week's Comedy Controller is doing ISIRTA. But I'm not sitting through another three hours so soon.
I've been meaning to get some Beyond Our Ken and Round The Horne. I quite like Kenneth Williams, and I don't know how I've managed to miss it! |

Yikes... thanks for the link, Queenie, but it's gonna have to wait til I upgrade this lousy connection...
I just changed my internet plan to an unlimited hours one (coz I always go over time, because it drops out so often and is so slow it can take hours just to check the forums here) and I got this weird officious little popup informing me my plan changed at midnight. I have visions of my PC turning into pumpkin... |

Shall we see if we can revive this thread at all? Looking back, I probably should have put it in a .zip folder. It took four hours, but Bill on Comedy Controller finally uploaded:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=17OC30IC
"Professor" Bill Oddie presents his thesis on the development of radio comedy. It goes for three hours, and Bill cuts in every half hour or so to talk. I only got bored with Archie's the Boy, but otherwise it's really good.
It's very recent, too. He said he was 64, so I must've been recorded very early this year.

Re: Corpsing, which has been discussed in other places, Bill absolutely loses it in Change of Life (which I was watching last night) when Tim is trying not to look at his body. He puts his hand up to shield his face from the camera but he's definitely laughing.
