WOOHOO!!!  Happy Birthday Bill  I hope Jacko the Birthday Kooaburra is out for your birthday...at least you can be assured of a great bit of bird watching if he is.

A Birthday Limmerick for Bill

There once was a hottie named Bill
Who on his birthday did shrill
He found this GROK site
And his fans they did fight
To be first in line for a thrill

Pretty lame I know so Feel free to add to the sediment and the obvious creative talent at any time

Bill : I know when I'm licked cos it feels lovely !

[ I'm also very fond of the Julie Andrews song, where Bill boasts that she's sexier than Raymond Baxter!

I think not, have you seen him dressed in string? But then she did sress as a nun..........

Wow, a job well done Sosia, very impressive!

I've been listening to a lot of Bill's ISIRTA songs recently, the Grimbling's Music Den site is a real treat. My two favourite ISIRTA songs at the moment are 'I'm Tougher Than You' and 'The Good Old Days'. I'm also very fond of the Julie Andrews song, where Bill boasts that she's sexier than Raymond Baxter!

I've also been listening to 'Taking You Back' a lot from Camelot. It's one of the best Goodies songs, me thinks.

Jess.

'(Has anyone been able to work out all the lyrics for it?)

As I had nothing better to do, here's what I've come up with. The lyrics at the beginning are a bit difficult to hear as the audience is laughing quite a bit, bit I think it's the same as the verses later on.

D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do

I sent you a letter a long time ago.
Did you get better? I'm longing to know.
I bought a stamp and I wrote your address,
so why don't I hear from you?
diddle-e-do-d-do.

I sent a card. Yes it didn't arrive.
How are you feeling? Are you still alive?
It must have got lost and I'm wondering why?
Could it have gone astray?
he-he-he-hey-he-hey

Hurry, hurry, hurry postman.
Show me what you can do.
Hurry, hurry, hurry postman.
Gotta get a letter, gotta get a letter to you

D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do

I sent you a letter, it shouldn't be late.
It cost me a lot, but you're having to wait.
I rang up the postman to ask where its gone,
But he gave me this reply:
Diddle-e-di-d-di.

I sent you another, a hundred or two.
Out of two hundred one must have got through.
Only this morning I got your reply.
You don't remember me
diddle-e-de-d-de.

Hurry, hurry, hurry postman.
Show me what you can do.
Hurry hurry hurry postman.
Gotta get a letter, gotta get a letter from you

D-do do d-do

[Instrumental]

D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do
D-do do d-do

I sent you a letter, it shouldn't be late.
It cost me a lot but you're having to wait.

So do I. It's definitely one of my favourite songs.

I keep singing the "I sent you a letter" song from Radio Goodies at the moment. It seems to have got stuck in my head.
