BBC7 to air repeats of ISIHAC & ISIRTA

The BBC is launching a new digital radio station, BBC7, on 15 December. This station will be available on-line. They will be airing repeats of ISIHAC and ISIRTA. Currently, it appears that ISIHAC repeats are scheduled daily at 12:00 and 19:00 starting Monday, 16 Dec. An ISIRTA repeat is scheduled for next Friday (20 Dec) at 12:30 and 19:30 (all times are GMT). Check BBC7's website http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/ and your local listings for up-to-date info about schedules and how to receive the station.

cool it will good as long as their not the same as the vhs surly theres plenty that dosn't have copyrighted music with the technology these days couldn't they recorded new music to replace the coptyright stuff, like other shows on dvd done ? feb march isn't that far off really since its nearly december it will be worth it :) when they did the vhs releases maby they should have put them onto dvd defently better quality to vhs. they'd have to decide what picture they will have . kitten kong was the best one they choose for the vhs release :) they got 76 episodes to choose from :) with dvd they hold more then vhs tapes lets hope they have quite a few on each dvd then just 3 like Monty python they have 4 episodes per disk i got the whole dvd Box series will be looking forward to buying them will be worth every cent ;)		Posted by:Andyt29

Four episodes per disc isn't the most generous offering really, is it? Shows like THE YOUNG ONES, BLACK ADDER, FAULTY TOWERS and others have all come out in season sets and sold quite well. Given that a DVD can hold up to 4 hours of material (and each GOODIES episode will be full-frame, non-anamorphic and in mono, hardly maxing out the bit-rate on the disc) you'd think they'd put more than four episodes on there. Nobody - and I mean nobody - wants to spend three or four years collecting every episode at great cost over 30 or more DVD's, when the majority of TV series on DVD are now coming out in Season box sets. Here's a partial list of TV shows coming out in Season form on DVD - THE SIMPSONS, FUTURAMA, SEX AND THE CITY, LAW AND ORDER, 24, CSI, MASH, THE X-FILES, BLACK ADDER, ST-TNG, SOUTH PARK and so on... season sets are wanted by the public and they sell. For god's sake, put THE GOODIES out in it's entirety over two or three box sets, record some commentary tracks with the cast, include whatever doco and outtake tootage you have at hand and establish the series on the DVD market with a bang. Dribbling it out a few episodes at a time will satisfy no-one besides the rights holders who think they can milk the fan base for the next few years. They could be pleasantly surprised at the sales of a larger compilation set. How many fans, however, will hold out over the 4 episodes a disc releases in the hope of something better in future? I can assure you that it is impossible - really,honeslty - to release the episodes series-by-series unless the BBC's agreements with music companies and the like change. This is the reason why video companies are prevented from releasing screamingly obvious potential mega-sellers like COLDITZ, SHOESTRING, BERGERAC and, yes, PYTHON. PYTHON, in particular has massive problems hence the series 1 compilation and the same will happen with series 2 - all the problematic pieces will be removed. Something as unstructured as Python can get away with it; you remove all the music in an average Goodies episode and you're left with about half the episode. As it is the 8 GOODIES episodes selected are a clearance nightmare so believe me, we are lucky to get anything. Also, as good as they are, The Goodies simply wouldn't sustain box set sales beyond the third or fourth season. The final series' would be but a trickle and commercially unviable after classification, remastering and all the ancillary costs of bringing these things to market have been paid. On the plus side I know Network are not penny-pinching on the release. They've gone to a lot of trouble to remaster the correct versions, it's cost them a fortune and I'm really looking forward to seeing them.		Posted by:stonedjamie
