If series-by-series releases were out of the question then it would be these eight -
'Snooze' 'Cecily' 'The New Office' 'Invasion of the Moon Creatures' 'Clown Virus' 'The Goodies Rule – O.K.?' 'Daylight Robbery on the Orient Express' 'War Babies'
I rate 'War Babies' for technical reasons although I think it skews the usual Goodies charm for a more cerebral, Pythonesque approach. As for the rest, instead of going for the ones with the most belly laughs, I've chosen ones that (mostly) leave a more subliminal impression.
I'm not 'up' on what is available regarding extras accept for, perhaps, providing downloadable PDF's for some of the printed merchandise that was around at the time. |

If I had to pick them in double DVD groups of 8 I would try to compile DVD's that picked up the remaining eipsodes of series 1, 2, 5, 7, 8.
I would have a DVD specifically of 8 episodes from series 1, 2 (including uncut Sporting Goodies albeit in B/W) and probably avoiding Sparklipegs (unfunny) and Missing Musicians (my assumption that it would have a few music clearance issues and I would only want to see it uncut).
I would call it "Goodies but Oldies but Goodies", or something similar.
The other benefit of this is that the vast majority of episodes have really good picture quality so little restoration cost would be incurred. Must include Little Cecily, Army Base, The Baddies, Scotland, Pollution (with commentary), Farm Fresh Food, Art Gallery. An added commercial benefit is that it would sell very well with DW fans if it was known to have a full colour over the top Troughton performance on DVD with aq TBT/GG/BO commentary about it)!
Then, I would also do 8 remaining episodes of series 5, 7, 8.
Then I would do complete seasons of series 4, 6, 3, in that order.
That will do me! |

re: special features.
I have been enjoying the recent BBC2 programme 'The Home Movie Roadshow'. The past two weeks have featured Spike Milligan's and Terry Jones' home Super-8 movies and it got me thinking that would be a nice extra if there were to be a future DVD release - obviously footage with their wife and kids etc. would be a bit invasive, but I wonder if TBT, Bill or Graeme owned a cine camera and if there's any footage of them clowning about together offscreen? |

not theoretical stuff! but thanks! I might not be here still either... |
I hope you mean you may not be there due to graduation/summer break/etc., as opposed to some sort of explosion... |
yeah... It's summer break/ graduation over the next few months but... Basically, at the moment (the situation's as variable as Schrödinger's cat) I could be in one of three places in September: here, the Netherlands or panicking as I search for a job. |

' I'm going to visit the Bradford Film, TV and Photography Museum over summer - apparently they have some sort of mediatheque where you can view programmes on demand - I'm hoping they may have the Horizon prog in their archive... |
It's now called the National Media Museum (not half as good as NMFPT!) - when I went a few years ago I was excited to see the old Play School toys! -- I'm back, and it's about time! |
